Steve Howard was brought up in a Christian household and has worked in various Christian ministries throughout his life. These include stints as a pastoral assistant as well as a High School Bible teacher for five years. He holds both a Bachelors degree in theater and a Masters of divinity from reformed seminary.

His radio career started in 1994 when he worked for a local FM station in Magnolia, Arkansas. While there, Steve hosted a morning swap shop show and gained valuable experience in radio. Beginning in 1996 he worked for KCBR-KCMN Radio in Colorado Springs, and upon the purchase of the station worked on and off for former owner, Crawford Broadcasting, since 1999.

Additional experience during this time includes a three year stint as Morning Host and Operations Manager for KTLF in Colorado Springs.
